Rose Flanigan
Rose Flanigan (she/her) is a postgrad student in History of Medicine at Oxford and serves as the Disability Rep at St Cross College. Her research sits at the intersection of medical humanities and disability history, examining neurodevelopmental disability, care, and ethics, with particular attention to how law, medicine, and institutions shape autonomy, dependency, and belonging.
Drawing on archival research and interdisciplinary methods, her work explores the historical production of disability and the social worlds in which care is organised and contested. Her background in international development and accessible design informs her engagement with questions of inclusion in health and education. She is actively involved in the APA DIV22 and the Disability History Association, supporting communications for both.
